Verdesian-ASA Provide Crop Advisers Abiotic Stress Management Webinar

Verdesian Life Sciences and the American Society of Agronomy Host October Webinar on Abiotic Stress Management

Sep 13, 2019

CARY, NC: The American Society of Agronomy (ASA) will host a webinar for agronomists and crop advisers on abiotic stress and nutrient management through gene influencing sponsored by Verdesian Life Sciences on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, 11:00 AM-12:00 PM Central, 12:00 PM – 1 PM Eastern.

This live webinar will be presented by Adam Blaszczak, R&D Director, Molecular Biology and Microbiology at Cytozyme Laboratories and will focus on damaging effects of abiotic stress on plants at the molecular level leading to yield losses.

The webinar will provide participants with:

  1. Understanding how the negative impacts of abiotic stress on the plant can be effectively reversed through the modulation of gene expression,
  2. The sustainable mechanisms for tapping into the plant’s natural genetic potential without the need for genetic modification, and
  3. Increasing crop performance through in-season crop nutrient application and management of naturally derived biologicals to influence modulation of gene expression.

Certified Crop Advisers (CCA) and Certified Professional Agronomists (CPAg) will receive .5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in crop management and .5 CEUs in nutrient management for participating. Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS) will receive 1 CEU in professional meetings.

Sponsored by Verdesian Life Sciences, the webinar is free to all those who register online.

Registration for this webinar can be completed using ASA’s Online Learning Platform. Participants will receive a recording of the on-demand webinar upon completion of the event.
