Meet the Nutrient Use Efficiency People™: Jill Hanson

Jill Hanson is an Iowa farm girl through and through. She grew up on a farm in Webb, a town in the northwest part of the state. When she attended Iowa State University, she studied agriculture. She even went on to earn her MBA in food and agribusiness from the Krannert School of Business at Purdue University.

“What can I say? Ag is in my blood; it’s a thread that runs through everything I’ve ever done or ever will do,” she says.

Jill has worked as a sales representative, sales trainer and district sales manager for the last 25 years – all in agriculture. She spent 15 years with Pioneer Seed and 10 years in the ag chem industry. Today, Jill lives in Clarinda, Iowa, and serves as Verdesian Life Sciences' Specialty Micronutrients Technical Product Manager, assisting with providing technical support, guidance and training Specialty Micronutrients.

“My time this with Verdesian has been great!” she says. “It is reassuring to know that I am working with a company that truly puts their customers and employees first.”

In addition, Jill is still very passionate about agriculture and her family’s farming operation.

She is the proud mother of three girls – Emma (13), Sydney (11) and Macy (9) – who keep her busy and on her toes. Jill enjoys spending time in Lake Okoboji on the water, and she also enjoys running, hiking, gardening and anything else outdoors.

In an industry that is historically male-dominated, Jamie Jones more than holds her own. Of course, as a mother of three boys, she is used to hanging with the fellas.

It’s a good thing Bob Pound has a love of travel. After all, the Account Manager for Verdesian Life Sciences has seen a large part of the United States (and the world) thanks to his career in agriculture.
